Shooting Schedule

The shooting schedule arranges every scene of a screenplay into shooting days — almost never in script order. Scenes are grouped by location, cast availability, time of day, and complexity so the production moves efficiently. It's built from the script breakdown and usually managed by the first assistant director.

The schedule produces the total day count, one of the biggest drivers of a budget, and feeds the day-out-of-days report and daily call sheets.
