Query Letter

A query letter is a brief, targeted email asking an industry professional to request your script. Effective queries run under 200 words: a specific reason for contacting this person, the title, genre, and logline, one line of relevant credibility, and a simple ask.

Queries don't include the script itself unless requested, and they work best when sent to people whose produced work fits your project.
